Annie Malone has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Clinical & Outpatient Services.


The Director of Clinical and Outpatient Services is responsible for overseeing and growing the clinical outpatient and community-based programs.  The Director is responsible for establishing outpatient programs through grants and insurance funding to include in-home individual and family therapy, outpatient group therapy, intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization programming, substance abuse programming, and through community contracts


The Director is responsible for overseeing the parenting program and the supervision of all clinical staff. The Director is responsible for the overall clinical integrity of the organization.  The Director must carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; program budgeting and oversight, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Clinical supervision of therapist, social workers, counselors and community case managers.
  • Oversee and grow the clinical outpatient and community-based programs.
  • Develop high quality, evidence-based outpatient treatment to include an IOP/PHP Program, substance abuse program and in-home individual and family therapy.
  • Establish an expertise in insurance billing requirements and develop strong relationships with insurance companies and medical professionals to establish new referral sources.
  • Develop and manage all outpatient and community-based program budgets, write and implement grants and contracts, program marketing, monitor program outcomes, and improvement strategies, track employee training and employee evaluations are completed timely, communicate with transparency at all times and collaborate with stakeholders as needed.
  • Attend community meetings and represent Annie Malone in these meetings.
  • Collaboration with all program directors to enhance wrap-around services throughout agency programs.
  • Clinical supervision of therapists, interns, practicum students and establish relationships with local universities to implement a sound student placement program for bachelor and master level students.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services or closely related field required
  • Missouri Licensure as LCSW or LPC required
  • Five or more years of leadership and clinical experience
  • Eligibility to provide Medicaid services
  • Knowledge of child welfare, residential treatment, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, other evidence based clinical models, trauma informed care and managed care practices is preferred
  • Strong computer competency to complete electronic documentation
  • Must possess a Valid Driver's License required
  • Must have current automobile insurance for transporting clients
  • Willingness to obtain a Class E Driver's License within 30 days of hire required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
